4/17 Cooking Class: Making Healthy Meals with Springtime Greens (Focus: Bitter Greens)
This gluten-free cooking class is the fifth and final in a 5-part series called "GO WITH YOUR GUT: Learning to Cook Intuitively," held at Fresh Thymes Marketplace in central Boulder. We highly encourage you to sign up for all five classes. Not only will it be fun, but you'll also learn how to build flavor, create meals on the fly, cook with nourishing and seasonal ingredients, and trust yourself in the kitchen.
All classes are taught by the talented owner and executive chef of Fresh Thymes, Christine Ruch!
CLASS #5: Cooking with Spring's Bounty (April 17th)
In this class, you'll learn why we, as human beings, should cook and eat with the seasons. Coinciding with Spring and Farmers Market cookery, we will create an improv meal with produce sourced from the Farmers Market as well as discuss what grows in the spring and why eating the bounty of the spring is good for us. You'll also learn the value of bitter greens and their cleansing properties.
This class is the culmination of our five-part series and a chance for all students, whether they've taken all five classes or not, to learn how to prepare delicious meals utilizing healthy bitter greens that grow in the spring.
